Craigparkhouse Bed and Breakfast, near Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, Loch Lomond,The Trossachs, Fife,Perthshire and the Highlands are all within driving distance of CraigparkHouse.
Each area has many beautiful castles,stately homes and National Trust properties. Lanarkshire itself has so much to offer the visitor from New Lanark World Heritage Site (a unique 18th century cotton mill) the Falkirk Wheel (a feat of engineering), the award winning Time Capsule in Coatbridge, The Antonine Wall in Cumbernauld, The Summerlee Heritage Centre (The museum of Scottish Industrial Life) in Coatbridge,which has Scotlands only electric tramway and recreated mine.
Cumbernauld Outdoor Activity Centre offering 4x4 driving,paintballing and much more. Palacerigg Country Park near Cumbernauld with nature walks a treetop walkway and wildlife sanctuary. Carron Valley Mountain bike in Kilsyth only a 20 minute drive from Craigpark House hastrails that are fast and purpose built for all year round use.
Walking
Caldercruix is abound with countryside and beautiful forestry commission walks.
Fishing
Hillend Loch in Caldercruix has a fishing lodge and trout fishing as does the Lily Loch also in Caldercruix and both only a five minute drive from CraigparkHouse.
Golf
Lanarkshire has over 30 golf courses to accommodate golfers of all levels. Only 5 minutes from CraigparkHouse is Easter Moffat 18 hole golf course.
Cycling
Again, only a 5 minute drive from the B&B to access the route 75 cycle path.
